This podcast on test accommodations is authored by Rachael Blacklaws
A test accommodation is a change to the format or delivery of a test that is designed to mitigate the impact on scores of some physical or learning difficulty. Typical accommodations include additional time, braille, larger font size, breaks, or amanuensis. This is to be distinguished from a test modification, where a change is made to what is being tested in a way that changes the nature of the construct of measurement. In this podcast Rachael Blacklaws and her fellow students explore the complexity of accommodations in the design and delivery of language tests.
